LVS and Alliance & Leicester Launch Prepaid Visa Card for Gambling

Betting and gaming systems provider LVS and Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank have teamed up to launch a unique Visa-branded prepaid card specifically for the international betting and gaming industry.

The prepaid cards work in the same way as Visa debit cards, but are loaded with funds in advance, rather than being linked to a bank account. They can be accepted at Visa outlets worldwide, making them an incredibly flexible payment solution that can be used for a wide variety of applications.

LVS will be able to distribute the cards anywhere in the world. They can be individually branded by gaming operators, and the LVS Enterprise Gaming Platform can manage all the gaming transactions for which a customer uses the card. Customers will be able to have their "winnings" credited to their card in Euros, US Dollars or Sterling, and will also be able to load money onto the card using credit or debit cards. The funds can then be used to place bets via any of the operator?s betting channels, or can be used to make payments anywhere that processes Visa transactions.

Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank is providing all of the administration support needed for branding, issuing and managing these cards. The bank has a dedicated prepaid cards team with the industry expertise and experience to work with LVS and provide this tailored product.
