Team Poker Could Become Next Great Gambling Craze

Poker tournaments are designed with a cut throat formula. The person that is left at the end with everybody else's chips is the winner. that concept may soon be changing slightly.

Poker in America has had a run of popularity that has been equalled by only major sports in the country. The popularity of the game, however, has been on a decline in recent years.

Dream Team Poker may have come up with a concept that will revitalize existing poker players and bring new players to the tables. The concept is much like the one that has bowling as one of the top leisure activities in America.

Poker tournaments involving teams, where friends can create shirts and play against other teams is a concept that is in the works from Dream Team Poker. They are based out of Beverly Hills, California, and they think they have found the next best thing in casino gambling.

"we've put together a patent pending scoring system without changing how normal tournaments are run," said Dream Team Co-Founder, Dan Delshad. "A lot of the difficulty in introducing it is in structuring it both for the general public and for the casinos to be able to manage the game," he said.

Friends would play the tournament to win, but if they did not, they would still receive points based on how their teammates finish. The camaraderie that it could create is similar to that felt on softball fields and in bowling alleys all across the United States.

Team Poker will be on display next month in a weekend long trial at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. Industry insiders will be in attendance for the unveiling of the new game.
