Dallas Cowboys Gambling On Romo To Take Them Into The Playoffs
This season was supposed to be one of redemption for the Dallas Cowboys. They did an HBO series which continually showed the Cowboys players claiming they were working harder after last season's disappointing end.
That work has not translated into success this season. Dallas is heading into their season finale at Philadelphia needing a win to make it to the playoffs. That is a far cry from where they were last year with home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Perhaps the decisions that were made in the off season have something to do with the Cowboys lack of success. They chose to sign Adam Jones, which naturally created a circus atmosphere in the locker room.
In addition to the Jones signing, the Cowboys have had to deal with the dangerous side of Terrell Owens, the one that complains that he does not get the ball enough. Owens also has had a documented discrepancy with his quarterback and tight end, Tony Romo and Jason Witten.
Now, with only a game against the Eagles remaining, the Cowboys will turn to a player in Romo that has let them down several times already in the post season. It will be up to Romo to save the Cowboys season, and keep from having that circus travel with them all off season.
